Backbench UK.
Violet wrote for Backbench UK for over two years on a number of political issues: from climate change, Brexit, lockdown and US Politics. The website has since been taken down and dissolved, however, she has PDF’s of all of her articles which are available upon request.
Violet started writing on Medium in 2020, when she was furloughed during the pandemic. What started out as book reviews gradually morphed into personal essays, opinion pieces, poetry and reflecting on the changing world around her. Her work has been published in top Medium publications such as Books Are Our Superpower, Invisible Illness, Publishous, Teatime History, Mind Cafe, The Masterpiece, The Writing Cooperative, and many more. What began as a humble blog with a handful of followers, has blossomed into a following of over 7,400 readers today.
Here is a sample of some of her favourite blogs. Please head here to see her complete writing portfolio.
